Donovan Zsak’s road to recovery was anything but typical. After Covid-19 cancelled the 2020 baseball season, The Last Dance Tournament offered high school players a chance to compete against one another in the summer. Zsak pitched for St. Joseph Metuchen but required Tommy John surgery after the tournament, ultimately keeping him off the mound for his entire junior year. When Donovan Zsak hit the hill for his senior year in 2022, the University of Virginia commit left no doubt as one of the top arm talents in the state; finishing with 10 strike outs and no earned runs.
