It’s rare for freshmen to start in varsity football, especially on the line. At Asbury Park, the Johnson sisters have taken girls playing football to another level. 14-year-old twins Elani and Eniya have made their impact by starting for the Blue Bishops as freshmen. Elani rarely comes off the field at defensive tackle and on the offensive line. Eniya is the Blue Bishops starting center. Playing side by side on the offensive line, the sisters have earned the respect of coaches, teammates and their opponents.
