When you share the last name Harper, the family business is seemingly always basketball.

Ron Harper, Sr. had a stellar NBA career highlighted by five NBA Championships. Ron Harper, Jr. helped put Rutgers basketball on the map and is currently carving out an NBA career of his own.

Up in Ramsey, two more Harpers are helping build on the family legacy.

Don Bosco Prep junior Dylan Harper is coming off an incredible junior season with the Ironmen and has subsequently being recognized as one of the top overall Class of 2024 prospects in the entire nation. There for the ride, right on the bench, is his mother Maria – an accomplished player and coach who serves as an assistant coach on Don Bosco’s varsity coaching staff.

Their relationship both on and off the court has helped Dylan flourish. It’s fair to say that he is the new face of New Jersey basketball.
