For years, St. Benedict’s Prep has been recognized as the nation’s premiere high school soccer powerhouse. The school has produced tons of Division I talent and even a handful of professional soccer players.

But, not many are like Ransford Gyan.

A native of Ghana, Gyan has quickly established himself as arguably the country’s top high school player – and he’s only still in his junior season.

The diminutive Gyan – who stands at 5’4″ – is an elite playmaker with absurd footwork who can score at will. That skillset has earned him a hulking comparison as the “Ghanian Messi.”
