6-foot-6 270 pound rising senior Marlen Bright was one of the highest ranked New Jersey Division I football prospects left on the board. Bright took to Instagram Live to announce that he will play Big Ten football for James Franklin and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Bright was selected to JSZ’s All-Zone team in 2024 after anchoring a DePaul Catholic offensive line. Marlen opened holes for current Notre Dame freshman Nolan James and pass protected University of Washington commit Derek Zammit. Bright was ranked the 4th best overall prospect in New Jersey by On3Sports. Penn State got three of NJ’s top 10 prospects with Bright, Timber Creek OL Roseby Lubintus, and Winslow Township CB Julian Peterson.
