The Hounds are heating up at just the right time.

Led by a productive day from Gwen Quackenboss, sixth-seeded Northern Burlington (15-8) punched their ticket to the next round of the Central Jersey Group 4 sectional playoffs with a 6-3 win over three-seed Old Bridge (14-8) in Middlesex County on Thursday.

Quackenboss was a force at the plate. She was 3-3 with 3 RBI and was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. Her mammoth two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning was the finishing touch on a big win for NBC. The Hounds will face the winner of 10-Marlboro vs. 2-Jackson Memorial in the sectional semifinals next week.
