Freshman Gil Goldsmith scored on a pass from older brother Doug Goldsmith to give Shore Regional a 12-11 overtime win the opening round of the Shore Conference boys lacrosse tournament.  It’s the Blue Devils first ever SCT win.  SSZ has the highlights and post-game reaction from Friday

Freshman Gil Goldsmith took a feed from older brother Doug :29 seconds into overtime to give the Blue Devils an overtime win and its first ever triumph in Shore Conference tournament play.  Doug Goldsmith, signed to play Division I lacrosse at Albany, finished the game with four goals and four assists.  Shore trailed 10-8 in the 4th quarter before scoring three straight goals to take the lead.  Freshman Jake Turner made it an 11-10 Blue Devils lead with 4:17 left in the 4th.  Jackson Liberty forced overtime in the closing seconds as Tyler Kalmowitz scored with just 6.9 seconds remaining in regulation.  Shore Regional advances to face the winner of top seed Rumson-Fair Haven and #16 Point Pleasant Boro.  Watch the exciting highlights and post-game reaction from a cold Friday evening:
