Chris Rotolo of the Asbury Park Press takes over the reins of the summer All-Star Shore Conference hockey game moving to Middletown Ice World.  SSZ has highlights and post-game reaction of the Blue-White Showcase

Former New Jersey Devil and Stanley Cup champ Jim Dowd created a tradition of a summer All-Star game featuring the top players from the Jersey Shore.  Now, Asbury Park Press high school hockey beat writer Chris Rotolo has kept the tradition alive by organizing the showcase and renaming it the APP Hockey Classic.  The teams featuring recent graduates and current Shore Conference hockey talent were broken up by Divisions.  The Blue team topped the White squad 6-3 as Greg Malafronte of CBA captured Blue Team MVP and the White MVP award went to Saint John Vianney’s Matt Kidney.
