Phillipsburg hit the road on Monday morning down to the Jersey Shore.  The Stateliners and Rumson-Fair Haven gave us a great dual that had a razor thin margin.  Check out all the highlights and post-match reaction!

Ian Jankowski rallied from 3-1 down to score a pin at 215 pounds and Matthew Velez delivered a first period pin at 132 pounds to clinch the victory for the Stateliners.  Phillipsburg got a pin from Zack Swingle at 106 pounds and a tech fall from Gavin Geleta.  Rumson-Fair Haven’s Sonny Amato got his 100th career win with a pin at 150 pounds while Luke Dougherty improved to 10-0 with a tech fall at 190.  Swingle’s pin gave P’Burg a 26-15 lead before Rumson scored three straight wins.  Henry Marshall’s 13-11 decision got RFH to within 26-25 with two matches to go.  The Bulldogs had state medalist Joaquin Duque at 138 pounds in the final match but Velez put the Stateliners up seven allowing them to forfeit for the one point win.
