In an early-season battle between Cape-Atlantic League contenders, the Wildcats came out on top. Qiani Bowens’ steal and go-ahead bucket with under a minute remaining proved to be the play of the night for St. Joe. Ja’son Prevard and Arnaldo Rodriguez led a balanced attack with 15 points apiece for the Wildcats (3-0). Jamil Wilkins scored a game-high 30 points, while Jahmir Smith added 20 points for the Spartans (1-1) in the loss.
