SSZ caught up with Saint John Vianney quarterback Anthony Brown at Chris Melvin’s Elite Recruits Day in Toms River to talk about his commitment to Boston College and his experience at the Elite 11 national semifinals in California

Anthony Brown admits he’s new to the national scene, but he’s there.  Following his verbal commitment to Boston College and regional MVP honors in Columbus, Ohio at Nike’s Elite 11 camp, the Saint John Vianney quarterback earned a trip to California as one of the top 30 high school quarterbacks in the country.  To Brown’s credit, the lofty status has not changed his work ethic or humbleness.  With nothing to prove, Anthony still made it a point to go out and compete at Chris Melvin’s Elite Recruit Day, returning to a camp that helped catapult his exposure.  We talked to him in Toms River about his incredible summer so far:

Brown put up stellar numbers in his junior year for head coach Mark Ciccotelli completing 161 passes for 2198 yards with 25 TD passes and just four interceptions. He also had 8 TD runs and over 300 yards on the ground.
