The Blue Devils won’t have to wait long to get into “big game” mode in 2017. Shore Regional opens the season at home against Asbury Park. The Blue Bishops ended Shore’s 20 game win streak in week one last year and followed that with a 39-19 win in West Long Branch in the Central Jersey Group 1 semifinals. Mark Costantino has been happy with his team’s production in training camp. Ryan Morris takes over the Shore offense following the graduation of three-year starter Matt Pennell. The Blue Devils will lean on its two-way starters on the line and once again use a running back committee. Gil Goldsmith switches from receiver to the backfield and Jack McRae will also be part of the stable that will set the tone on the ground.
