Shore Regional dedicates Nancy Williams Field as the Blue Devils open the field hockey season with a 6-2 win over Middletown North
OCEANPORT – After 44 years and over 1600 wins in six different varsity sports, Nancy Williams name will forever be a part of Shore Regional athletics. The legendary coach saw her name go on top of the scoreboard on Saturday morning prior to the start of the 2014 field hockey season. It was field hockey where Williams career statistics are something that even the greatest coaches in sports would be envious of.

* 19 Shore Conference Tournament titles (15 in a row)
* 13 overall state championships
* 23 Sectional Championships
* 43 consecutive Division Championships
* 16 All-Americans
Williams admitted it would take a big adjustment to life as a fan of Shore Regional field hockey. She watched as the Blue Devils topped Middletown North 6-2 in the season opener.
