Rumson-Fair Haven 4 Hillside 2

Jeremy Nives had two goals and an assist to lead the Bulldogs into the second round of the Central Jersey Group 2 boys soccer tournament.  Nives got the scoring started with a tremendous move that froze two defenders and resulted in a far post low shot that snuck just inside the post.  RFH had a 2-0 lead at the half, but Hillside was able to get on the board 90 seconds into the second half and got within 3-2 on a Marc Marcques penalty kick, but Nives put the game away with a penalty shot of his own.  Ethan Peters and Mitch Lauria were the other goal scorers for RFH who improves to 12-6-2 on the season.  RFH will host #11 seed Raritan on Friday in the second round.  The Rockets upset #6 seed Carteret on penalty kicks.  Watch the highlights of a solid effort by the Bulldogs from Tuesday afternoon:
