After losing in the finals last year to end a four year reign, Rumson-Fair Haven is back as Shore Conference boys lacrosse champions.  SSZ has highlights and post-game reaction from RFH’s 8-5 win over Manasquan at Long Branch High School

Rumson-Fair Haven 8 Manasquan 5

Charlie Curran scored the game winning goal with 4:15 seconds to go in the 4th quarter to give the Bulldogs their 5th Shore Conference boys lacrosse championship in the last six years.  Robbie Garavente had three goals to lead all scorers.  His natural hat trick started in the second quarter and ended in the third giving the Bulldogs a 4-2 lead.  Manasquan rallied from two goals down to draw even in the 4th on a Devan Carroll goal, but the Bulldogs took the lead for good on Curran’s tally just 46 seconds later.  Both teams could square off again in the South Jersey Group 2 playoffs – Manasquan is the top seed with RFH coming in at #2.  Watch the highlights and post-game interviews from a great game at Long Branch High:
