The Autism Awareness Challenge in North Brunswick has done a great job at matching up fascinating games all in support of a special cause.

On Day 2 of this year’s event, we saw Red Bank Catholic (8-2) throw a combined no-hitter in an 11-1 win over Holy Spirit (6-5) in five innings.

Alex Stanyek threw four innings with six strikeouts and no hits, but allowed two walks. The Spartans scored a run on a wild pitch in the fourth inning. Dominic Mallamaci tossed one scoreless inning with a pair of strikeouts.

The bats were alive for the Caseys. Shane Andrus led the way with a 2-3 day at the dish with 3 RBI.
