RBC raced out to an 8-2 lead and held off a second half charge to cruise to a 16-6 win over West Deptford in South Jersey Group 2 Sectional Finals at Count Basie Field. The Caseys got four first half goals from Amanda Casten and controlled the first half. West Deptford scored three straight goals in the second half to cut the deficit to 9-6, but the Caseys went on a 7-0 run to close the game. Casten led the way with 5 goals, Maeve Cowley had 4 tallies, and Duke bound Grace Fallon had three goals and two assists.
Red Bank Catholic improves to 18-1 on the season and will face Summit on Saturday at Monmouth University for the Group 2 state championship. Summit beat Rumson-Fair Haven 14-6 in the Group 2 North sectional final. RFH is the only team to beat RBC this year.
