Big news from the Garden State basketball world as reigning JSZ Mr. Hoop Zone NaJai Hines of Plainfield announced his commitment to play for Shaheen Holloway. Hines averaged 18.6 points and 16.9 rebounds this winter while leading the Cardinals to a Group 4 state title and the No. 1 ranking in New Jersey. Orginally a three-star football prospect in North Carolina, Hines came back home to New Jersey and made a massive impact in his one year playing for Plainfield. Hines was named JSZ’s Mister Hoop Zone for 2025 following San Antonio Spurs #2 overall pick Dylan Harper in our player of the year lineage. The Plainfield big man had 19 first place votes and 18 second place tallies to beat out Ridgewood’s Johnny Jackson who had 16 first place votes and 10 second place tallies.
