Making his first start of the postseason, Chase Petty pitched the top-seeded Mustangs into a sectional title game. The Florida commit struck out 17 before reaching the pitch count limit. Mark Elliott added one more strikeout to end it. Alex Agigian drove in a pair of runs for Mainland in the victory, while Christian Elliott had an RBI double. Max Martin had a triple and two RBIs for the fourth-seeded Quakers (13-5) in the loss. The Stangs (23-3) advance to face archrival Ocean City in the sectional final on Friday.
