Westfield 12 Gov. Livingston 5

The Blue Devils have done a whole lot of winning through the first month of the 2024 season, so it was good for them to showcase some patience and battle to a win. Westfield (10-1) scored seven unanswered runs from the fourth inning on to take down Gov. Livingston (11-2), effectively putting the Blue Devils as the No. 1 ranked team in Union County. Braeden Trajkovski went 3-4 with 3 RBI while Randy Davis and Jake Alfano both had 2 RBI games. Seton Hall commit Tomas Cestero had a shaky first few innings, but he settled in just fine, striking out nine batters in 5.2 innings of work. A solo home run via Mike Basile and a Dylan Gardner two-run triple highlighted the scoring for Gov. Livingston.
