6’7, 295-pound Toms River North offensive lineman Jaelyne Mathews has given a verbal commitment to play Big Ten football at Penn State. One of the highest-ranked recruits in New Jersey from the class of 2025, Matthews made his commitment official via his Instagram account. Matthews chose the Nittany Lions over national champ Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, and Rutgers. Matthews is rated the 5th best offensive line prospect in the country by 247 Sports and is #60 nationally in the class of 2025. Matthews was selected to Jersey Sports Zone’s All-Zone team in 2022 after anchoring the TRN offensive line on the way to the Group 5 state championship and a perfect 12-0 season.
