New Jersey high school field hockey is some of the best in the country and fans of the sport were treated with a monster showdown Wednesday afternoon.

Oak Knoll and West Essex, both ranked inside the Top-15 nationally by Max Field Hockey, squared off in an their annual rivalry match. This year’s game lived up to the hype and saw Oak Knoll extend its unbeaten streak to a commanding 51-consecutive games.

Morgan Willis scored a golden goal with 5:22 left in overtime to lift her Royals (10-0) to a 2-1 win over West Essex (9-1). Both teams scored their initial goals in the first half.
