The New Jersey girls lacrosse scene is seriously starting to heat up in May. Oak Knoll and Ridgewood – two consensus top-five teams statewide – met Wednesday with plenty on the line for a mere regular season showdown. The Royals (7-1) secured a 13-9 win over the Maroons (6-1) thanks to hat trick performances from Colleen Quinn and Lily Ramsey alongside a stifling defensive performance. Oak Knoll led by as much as seven goals in the second half before going into cruise control and locking up the win.
