After a big loss to Allentown in their home opener Nottingham went on an 8 game win streak thanks to some of great defense and sophomore running back Diontae Nicholson. Nicholson ran for 21 touchdowns, averaged 178 yards a game and finished with 1,758 rushing yards for the year, shattering the school record. The North Stars would eventually be defeated in the first round of the group 4 playoffs by Freehold Boro and JSZ Player of the Year Ashonte Worthy. Coach Jon Adams will luckily returns his star running back and some key defensive leaders in 2018 as they will look to capture their first State Title since 2013. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the story:
