The heart of a lion? This girl has that and then some. Middletown North’s Malori Bell became the 20th player in New Jersey softball history to collect 1,000 career strikeouts Thursday afternoon. Although she only transferred in a season ago the Fairleigh Dickinson University commit has earned the admiration and support from the Middletown community. That’s largely due to her hard work ethic and loving personality. Needing just two K’s coming against Ocean Township, Bell accomplished her milestone in just the first inning.
