No. 5 Don Bosco Prep baseball had their best offensive game of the year so far on Wednesday, knocking 15 hits as they defeated No. 5 DePaul Catholic 11-4. After an error from catcher Chase Bagley brought in two runs for the Spartans, the Ironmen scored eight unanswered runs over the next four innings to take control of the game.
Leading the Ironmen on the bats by Junzen Sarza who went 3-3 with three RBIs, and Victor Reynoso who also had three RBIs including two off of what was the first home run for Bosco this year. Bagley, a Maryland commit, and future Mississippi State Bulldog Michael Hanna both had two RBIs, including both hitting an RBI triple.
Thomas Collins was the game’s winning pitcher with five innings pitched, seven strikeouts, four hits, and one earned run.
