Madison 9 Glen Ridge 8

No. 19 Madison boys lacrosse picked up their biggest win of the year on Thursday with a 9-8 home victory over NJILL-Bianchi foe, No. 15 Glen Ridge.

The Dodgers held a 5-2 lead at the half, but the Ridgers roared back to make it a 6-5 game late in the third quarter. Madison’s lead eventually became 9-6 in the fourth quarter and they were able to hang on for the win despite two late Glen Ridge. Finn Dwyer led in scoring for the Dodgers with a hat trick, followed by Jake Rodin and Matt Lutz, each with two goals. Dixon Atkinson, Stephen Gruber, and Carson Ross each scored twice for the Ridgers.

This win puts Madison at 4-0 in Bianchi division play and 8-1 overall. Glen Ridge suffered their first Bianchi loss (2-1) and fall to 6-2.
