Dan Keane, who had over 1,100 wins as CBA’s soccer and tennis coach has passed away at the age of 76.  Look back on our 2015 feature honoring him at the end of his storied coaching career


Christian Brothers Academy and the entire New Jersey high school sports community are mourning the loss of Dan Keane.  The longtime coach of CBA’s soccer and tennis programs died Jan. 18 at the age of 76.  Keane started teaching history at CBA in 1977 and began coaching the soccer team in 1978 followed by adding head tennis coach duties in 1980.  He amassed over 500 soccer wins, five state titles and nine Shore Conference championships. In tennis, the Colts were even more dominant going 649-155 in the Keane era highlighted by 16 state championships.
