It was a special night at Roselle Catholic High School.  JSZ was there for Naz Reid’s jersey retirement.  Watch our feature on Naz’s homecoming and reminisce about one of NJ’s all-time high school basketball greats!

With the Minnesota Timberwolves in town to play the New York Knicks on Friday night, Naz Reid got to make a pit stop on Thursday at his old stomping grounds.  Reid was on hand at Roselle Catholic, where the school retired his #5 jersey during a halftime ceremony.  Many of Naz’s Timberwolves teammates were on hand for his special moment.

Reid played at Roselle Catholic from 2014-2018 helping the Lions win two Tournament of Champions titles.  The McDonald’s All-American went on to LSU and after being undrafted worked his way into the NBA where he became the league’s 6th Man of the Year with Minneosta.  The Timberwolves signed him to a three year, $42 million dollar contract extension.  Reid is averaging 13 points and five rebounds a game this season for Minnesota.

JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis talked with Reid about his special night and looked back on his Roselle Catholic career that helped mold him into an NBA star.
