Mountain Lakes might be a tiny Group 1 school, but the Lakers proved once more why they are the heavyweights of New Jersey lacrosse.

Led by Caz Kotsen, Brandon Goodbar, Cade Schuckman and the Hernando brothers, Mountain Lakes (22-1) dominated Rumson-Fair Haven (22-5) from start to finish to the 2022 Tournament of Champions final in a 21-5 finish.

It’s the most goals scored by a team in a TOC title game and was also the most lopsided game in TOC championship game history.

The 2022 season marks the end of the Tournament of Champions era in boys lacrosse, and numerous other sports. Mountain Lakes went out with a bang by winning their fourth TOC in school history.
