Mount St. Dominic 4 Donovan Catholic 3 | Non-Public “A” State Final
Top of the seventh. A tie game in the state final. Jillian Cianfracco delivered a moment that will be talked about in the Mount St. Dominic softball community for years to come. She hit her 10th home run of the season, providing the eventual winning run for Mount St. Dominic (28-4) to capture the Non-Public “A” State Championship. Sophomore Ava Kelshaw delivered on the bump for the Lady Lions, pitching a complete game and striking out seven. For Donovan Catholic (26-2), Sophia Senger and Christina Ginex added RBIs and showed tremendous defense throughout the game. This marks MSD’s first softball state final win in 11 years.
