In a highly-anticipated top 10 matchup, it was No. 9 Mount St. Dominic (7-2) who got the best of No. 1 Steinert (6-1) at Villanova University. Sophomore Ava Kelshaw was coming off of an injury and she pitched her best game of the year; 7 IP, 1 ER, 3 K’s, and a Complete Game. Abby Cianfrocca and Carlee Paez added the Lions only runs of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Steinert are the 1st public school team to reach the N0. 1 In-Season State Poll since 2016, but MSD hands the Spartans their first loss since 5/21/24.
