In its third season, Shore girls flag football continues to grow in interest and level of play.  Watch an incredible back and forth game between Holmdel and Middletown South that went to overtime for the first time ever!


Middletown South 32 Holmdel 30 (OT)

Amanda MacGregor caught a 10-yard TD pass from Amanda Paterno and hauled in the game-winning two-point conversion in overtime to give Middletown South a come-from-behind win in the Shore’s first-ever game that went beyond regulation.  Paterno, the Eagles QB, had two touchdown runs followed by two TD passes including a 29-yard dime to Ava Loucopolous to make it 24-22 with 1:15 to go.  Paterno went on to throw a 2-point conversion to Nicolette Schreiber to tie the game at 24 and force overtime.  Holmdel took a 30-24 lead when Michelle Steele threw her fourth TD pass to Julia Chyzowych to make it 30-24.  The Hornets failed a two-point conversion giving Middletown South the chance to win it in overtime.
