The 6-foot-10 Plainfield big man came back home to New Jersey from North Carolina and went from a three-star football prospect to a four-star basketball superstar!

The Tennessee commit closed out her career as a 2,000 point scorer, four-time county champion, three-time state champion and a McDonald’s All-American. Pauldo captured our annual honor with a near-unanimous vote amongst coaches and credentialed media statewide.

JSZ once again polled dozens of coaches and media members to determine our award winners. First place votes were worth three points; second place votes were worth two points; third place votes were worth one point.
Mister Hoop Zone Balloting Breakdown
Najai Hines had 19 first place votes and 18 second place tallies to beat out Ridgewood’s Johnny Jackson who had 16 first place votes and 10 second place tallies.
Miss Hoop Zone Balloting Breakdown
Mia Pauldo received 31 first place ballots and was on all 37 ballots. St. Rose’s Jada Lynch edged out Addy Nyemchek for second place.
