The Monmouth County Baseball and Softball Tournaments brought some great performers.  Monmouth Regional’s Josh Jackson is one of the nominees for this week’s Monmouth Building Center Game Balls.  Cast your vote now through Tuesday at 3:00 pm and we’ll present a Game Ball at a practice or game

Thanks to everyone for helping us honor great performances on the diamond.  Once again, we have 10 great nominees from the past week in high school baseball and softball.  The polls will stay open through Tuesday at 3:00 pm.  We’ll stop by practice or a game later on this week and honor our Game Ball winners

*Game Ball Update*

Kaci Neveling of Toms River North had the lead at 3:00 pm when the polls were supposed to close.  SSZ was at Toms River South to honor last week’s Game Ball winners and could not return to the office until 3:15 pm when Kaylee Berecsky of Keansburg took the lead.  Because it was our error by not closing the polls at 3:00 pm, we are more than happy to give a Game Ball to both Kaci and Kaylee.  See you this week!   Thank you very much to everyone who voted so much and so often (the baseball battle between Holmdel and Southern Reigonal was also very close).  Game Balls are all about honoring great performances and we appreciate the passion of the SSZ audience!

A special thank you to Monmouth Building Center for supporting high school athletes in our area.  It’s because of Monmouth Building Center that we’re able to bring a new level of coverage to Jersey Shore sports.
