After losing to Middletown South 12 days prior, the Seraphs wanted revenge to further their run in the Shore Conference Tournament. After a game tying three pointer with three seconds left from Middletown South, Pete Gorman of Mater Dei Prep drove to the basket and made a game winning buzzer-beater as the clock struck zero. Gorman’s heroics pushed the Seraphs into the quarterfinals of the Shore Conference Tournament as he finished the game with 11 points and 2 steals in the victory. His game winning shot earned over 50 percent of the vote to win the week 8 game ball.
