Christian Elliott drew a bases loaded walk to bring in the game-winning run as the top-seeded Mustangs edged the second-seeded Hermits to win their first CAL Tournament championship. Finn Haines held things down on the mound for Mainland (19-5), tossing 6 2/3 scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Brady Blum faced one batter, but came through with a huge strikeout to get the Stangs out of a jam in the top of the seventh. Northwestern commit Matt Kouser went 4 1/3 innings, allowing two hits, no runs, and racked up six strikeouts for St. Augustine (15-8).
