St. John Vianney used a 5 run fourth inning to cruise to a 7-1 win over Paul VI in the Non-Public “A” South semifinals. Ashley Ventura scattered six hits and struck out five to pick up the win. St. John Vianney got on the board in the first with a Michelle King RBI single to left. The Lancers busted the game open in the fourth thanks to an RBI double by Katie Baron and a screaming liner to left that cleared the fence for Jessica Carlucci, her two run homer made it a 7-0 game. Paul VI got its lone run in the top of the seventh inning.
Top seeded St. John Vianney will take on #6 seed Immaculata on Tuesday at 4pm at Brick Memorial High School in the Non-Public “A” finals. Immaculata upset #2 seed Notre Dame 2-0.
