Runs came at a premium on Sunday at the Thank You Classic as the Dragons toppled the Jags in a thrilling pitcher’s duel. John Rorick’s two-RBI single in the top of the ninth proved to be the difference as Kingsway (7-1) was able to fend off a rally from Jackson Memorial (5-2) in the bottom of the ninth. North Carolina-commit Justin Szestowicki was dominant on the mound for the Dragons, pitching seven scoreless innings while allowing one hit and racking up thirteen strikeouts. Auburn-commit Zach Crotchfelt turned in a great performance for the Jags, pitching six scoreless innings with ten strikeouts. Radford-commit Ty Beck hit a two-run homer for Jackson Memorial in the loss.
