Two North Jersey hoops stars who have both been double-double machines to open the 2019-2020 campaign were awarded their respective JSZ North Jersey Game Balls for two stellar early season performances.

Rutgers Prep’s Trey Patterson

Trey Patterson is quickly blooming into one of the top recruits not only in the northeast, but in the entire country. Patterson accounted for 21 points and 10 rebounds against Ramsey last week. He also eclipsed the 1,000 career point plateau in the win.

Bayonne’s Makoye Diawara

Another North Jersey who has been a beast in the paint is Bayonne senior Makoye Diawara. The Bees are off to a 10-0 start to this season and Diawara already has 10 double-doubles, including her game ball nominating 14 points and 16 rebound performance against Gill St. Bernard’s.

Diawara proceeded to drop 22 points and 16 rebounds in Bayonne’s 71-25 win over Dickinson Thursday afternoon. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights and post-game presentation:
