Jaelyne Matthews had a few surprises up his sleeve during his college commitment ceremony at Toms River North High School on Tuesday. The TRN offensive lineman and New Jersey’s number two prospect in the class of 2025 according to ESPN committed to Rutgers University with help from Garden State legends Frankie Edgar and Todd Frazier. Matthews has been an anchor in the trenches as he helped the Mariners win back-to-back Group 5 state championships in 2022 and 2023. The highly-sought prospect previously announced a final three of Georgia, Tennessee, and Miami before shocking the crowd with his announcement to join Greg Schiano’s Scarlet Knights.
