High school football is arguably New Jersey’s biggest sport. Girls’ flag football is undoubtedly New Jersey’s fasting growing sport. The two worlds have finally crossed paths in the far reaches of Morris County.

Meet Izzy Kolbusz, a senior at Mount Olive, who is the rare female athlete in New Jersey to play both varsity football in the fall and girls’ flag football in the spring

Kolbusz made national headlines back in November for her game-winning field goal to beat Sayreville in the state playoffs. But, that kick may never have happened if not for the connections she built playing for the Marauders’ girls flag football team.
