Immaculate Heart (13-0) remains undefeated following a dominant 2-0 win over Wayne Hills (4-6). Leading 9-8 in the first set, IHA began to pull away thanks to an offensive spark from junior Brookelyn Talmadge who had five early kills. The Blue Eagles would take the set 25-10. Talmadge would continue her reign in the second set as Immaculate Heart won 25-6, she had 10 kills total and three blocks. Senior Deanna Whelpley had five kills, two digs, 13 service points and an ace. It’s only fitting on National Coaches Day that we spoke with legendary head coach Maria Nolan who is the state leader in all-time volleyball wins with a record of 1,049-113.
