It was a normal New Jersey high school football playoff game; until it wasn’t. Camden was leading Pleasantville 6-0 in the third quarter when at least six shots were fired in the stands behind the Greyhounds sideline. Fans, players, and coaches ran for cover. Referees dropped down onto the turf field. Police officers, security guards, and emergency personnel quickly rushed to the stands. At least two people, including a child, were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

The NJSIAA has announced that the Camden-Pleasantville game will resume on Wednesday at an undisclosed neutral location with no fans allowed to attend. Camden leads the state playoff game 6-0 in the third quarter
