Patrick Gosselin scored a pair of first-period goals and the Cougars built a three-goal advantage and was able to hold off a late flurry from the Eagles. Owen Oglevee had two goals for the Eagles who scored twice in the final 90 seconds but Cranford kept the two-goal cushion thanks to a pair of empty net goals. Cranford is now 6-3-1 on the season making their case to enter the state rankings next week.
