Meet the 2020 JSZ All-Zone Girls Basketball Team
Jersey Sports Zone has highlights of the top girls basketball players in New Jersey as we present our 2020 JSZ All-Zone girls basketball team While the coronavirus has stopped us from our annual banquet honoring the top boys and girls basketball players in the state, that doesn’t stop us from celebrating the accomplishments of New Jersey’s top players. Thursday and Friday we will share our highlight videos from the 2020 JSZ All-Zone girls basketball teams and coming up on Monday we will have highlight reels of our 2020 JSZ Miss Hoop Zone Finalists and announce our player of the year. How NJ’s Leading Scorer Balances Religion and Basketball
Ally Landau is the most prolific scorer you haven’t heard of in New Jersey. Landau stars at Golda Och Academy — a Jewish day school not typically known for athletics — yet has shined over a four year career. Landau’s resume is as impressive you’ll find. 2,000 point scorer? Check. Average nearly a triple-double in her senior season? You bet. But the one thing missing? A championship trophy. Yet in the grand scheme of things, that happens to be just fine. Landau and her fellow Roadrunners have balanced playing the game they love with the religion that guides their lives. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the story from West Orange:
