See Brick Township quarterback Carmen Sclafani and Jackson Memorial running back Mike Gawlik pick up Monmouth Building Center Game Balls for their outstanding play in Week Ten

With the much anticipated rematch between Jackson Memorial and Brick Township just days away, it’s only fitting for Shore Sports Zone to visit both outstanding high school football programs to hand out Monmouth Building Center Game Balls.  Jaugars running back Mike Gawlik picked up an astounding 11,448 votes for the Top Play from Week 10, a TD run to open the scoring in Jackson Memorial’s convincing win over Middletown North.  Sclafani, who has been nominated numerous times for a Game Ball this season, had 5,813 votes from the Dragons fan base to win Top Performer after guiding Brick to an opening round playoff win over Princeton.

The final Monmouth Building Center Game Ball will be decided on Sunday as we’ll post the top performers from playoff winners who have not won a Game Ball this season.  The polls will stay open until Tuesday night at 8:00 pm and we’ll make one more presentation.

But don’t worry, the voting doesn’t end next week!  Coming up after Thanksgiving, we’ll have the IPlay America Plays of the Year voting where you can vote your favorite player into the 1st annual SSZ All-Zone banquet.  And Monmouth Building Center is back in January with Game Balls for boys and girls basketball!
