SSZ continues our profiles of outstanding Shore athletes who train at Reach Your Potential Training.  Ocean Township lacrosse standout McKayla Conti is anxious to begin her college career at the University of Louisville

McKayla Conti didn’t pick up a lacrosse stick until the summer after her 8th grade year.  It didn’t take long not only for Conti to fall in love with the sport, but to excel.  By the conclusion of her sophomore season, Conti was on the Division I radar.  She traveled to the Washington, DC area to check out Maryland and Georgetown, but while watching the Hoyas play the University of Louisville, she was drawn to the nationally ranked Cardinals.  After garnering an offer, Conti made a verbal commitment two years before her high school career came to a close and made it official last November.

Conti reached the 200 goal plateau in her high school career on April 9th and scored four goals in front of our cameras in a 20-2 win over Monmouth Regional.
