Steven Echavarria threw six innings of 2-hit ball with 12 strikeouts and no walks while giving up just one unearned run and Greg Rosenthal had two hits and four RBI’s to lead Millburn (17-2) to an eighth straight win.   Over two dozen major league scouts came to see Echavarria (Florida) pitch against OT’s Alex Kranzler (Vanderbilt).  Echavarria touched 96 miles per hour and threw in the low to mid 90’s while Kranzler also topped 90 miles per hour in his outing. Kranzler threw four innings and allowed just two hits with eight strikeouts but was victimized by an error and four walks.  Old Tappan scored three in the fourth and busted the game open with two more in the fifth.
