Don Bosco Goes Yard in Win over SJR

The Ironmen’s reign over New Jersey baseball continues.

Don Bosco (16-3) hit three home runs and leaned on steady pitching to secure an 8-1 win over St. Joe’s (15-5), while also locking up a regular season sweep of the Green Knights.

Allen Hernandez launched a two-run blast in the first inning. Caden Dana led off the fourth inning with a solo shot and Eric Becker cranked a grand slam in the top of the seventh inning to put the game out of reach. Michael Staiano drew the start for Don Bosco and allowed one run over five strong innings of work.
